Does A-Net care about PvE players at all?
Yup, that's my question. Does A-Net give a flying F*** about how i feel when playing the PvE game? I've been reading through sardelac for a while, and i've recently noticed that when any new patch comes in, it's to accomodate some problem presented by someone who takes issue with the way something works in PvP. At the same time, there are dozens of threads suggesting simple, clever, universally supported ideas that do not scew any kind of preciaous balance, but would enormously improve the PvE experience, and these threads go seemingly ignored for months.
I guess my main issue is, I've seen people complain about PvP issue A and B and solutions presented within days of the post, while on the other hand PvE issues are completely ignored.
I rarely if ever PvP. I have managed to gain pleasure from the game for almost a year and a half now by spending most (darn near all) of my time in PvE. Why do my conerns not matter? A-net, please explain to me why this is. Is the player base broken into 90% PvP and 10% PvE and I just don't know it? Does all your customer base with the exception of a minute few like myself play for PvP alone? If so, it would be nice to know. If not, why am i made to feel like some red-headed step child, doomed to be locked in the closet, occassionally released just to be smacked around infront of the company?
I've noted that Gaile Gray has responded to the questions posted on these forums from time to time. I would really appreciate an official A-Net response to my question.
Though, since i play PvE, i really don't expect it.

A-net gave us 2 completely new lands after Prophecies - they do care about PvE-ers... As long as they don't farm or chest run or get titles :P
But really, there are still gonna be new chapters, so even more lands, PvP doesn't get alot with each new chapter, except new skills. Skill updates are always thanks to PvP, though.

Ask yourself this. If they didnt care about PVE, then why is there a huge bulk of the game made for PVE?
Think before you rant please.

I don't get how you can say that. NF was a HUGE improvement to PvE. Just as Factions was a huge improvement to PvP. If you are talking about the changes made in the update last night then you need to go play your toons some more. Some skills were nerfed yes, but they didn't ruin them. (This is coming from someone who used just about all the skills affected by the nerf BTW)
What exactly are your concerns about PvE that aren't being addressed? As someone who is primarily PvE I would like to know what exactly I am supposed to be mad about...

I seem to recall a recent thread wherein PvP players complained that Anet doesn't care about PvP players at all.
So either they don't care about anybody, or you're all delusional.
Any guesses on which answer is my choice?

What update has caused this out burst?
The main reason why its mostly balanced for PvP is that, it is where many of the un-thought of skill combos are found. And yes, its because it is constantly evolving.

What do PVP players get? Mostly skill balances. And a few other things.
What do PVE players get? Three seperate continents to explore and fight in. Multitudes of different monsters. Multitudes of weapons. Dozens of armor choices. Holiday and special events. Mini pets. Tons of titles. And much more.
Yeah....Anet doesnt care about PVE. Riiiiiiigggghhtt.

Are you serious? Did you think about this at all before you went typeranting away?
1. You didnt explain what you have an issue with.
2. If its the AI im sorry that you, as a 'Hardcore PVE' player, cant figure out what to do with it--- and for the record, the AI is better now thank you. Rise to the challenge, homey.
3. Anet doesnt need to answer you at all. This whole thread is flamebait for anyone with two brain cells. Especially since the only question i see is "does anet care about pve players" to which I cant seem to think of any response that doesnt involve talking down on you, your abilities, and your need for attention.
guild wars is about skill, if you want a cakewalk there is always wow or mario brothers...
wheres the Guru Boys when you need them>? now that I have posted maybe they will lock it at least.

How many times does Gaile need to say that they don't favor PvP over PvE or visa versa? How many updates have effected something in PvE alone with absolutely no bearing on PvP play at all? How many PvE updates have messed up PvP to some extent without a fix in sight?
To say that A.Net doesn't care about PvE is rather delusional.

"A-net gave us 2 completely new lands after Prophecies "
New Chapters = People spend money on game. The game is paid for by new chapters, as there is no monthly fee.
"What update has caused this out burst?"
As i said, i've been reading through the suggestions forum "Sardelac." From what i can see (granted, not a scientific observation), a complaint is made about some skill or some game element and how it affects PvP... within days a new patch comes in to fix this (most recently the paragon fix - which effects me very little as I haven't done much with that new class yet). On the other hand, i've seen universally accepted and praised ideas that effect PvE go ignored for months, if not outright. Perhaps the Sardalac forum should be altered so that it is for PvP improvements only, as the PvE ones are summarily ignored.

I dont think ANet cares WHO is whining- there are always whiners, you being a good example.
The devs have many many MANY testers, although until 2 million people get their grubby hands on the game it is impossible to test every single combo out there. I dont think there has ever been a NERF that was uncalled for - and furthermore most of the people who DO complain about it are running copy and paste builds anyways. originality ftw suckers.
